Who is ready for Spring?

After the holidays everyone can't wait for Spring. All the cute dresses and bright purses and makeup! A great change from the Black and Grays of Winter. So what is a good idea to stock up on right before spring starts? How about Nail Polish?

My Makeup Monday for today is one of my favorite nail polishes for spring!

(Left) Sally Hansen's French White Tip (Right) OPI's Big Hair...Big Nails

I love the fun and bright look of these nails! And it isnt all that hard to do. The French Tip is my favorite because of how easy it is. You can either use nail tapes from the drugstores as a guide line for the nail polish and then just strip them away one it is dried. But I feel like buying those strips is just a waste of my money. I prefer to just paint the tips of my nails and clean it up with Q Tips and Nail Polish Remover. Its simple and effective and cheaper too.

My other favorite nail color to use in the Spring is Pink's. OPI has many beautiful colors for spring, blues, pinks, reds, purples, pastels. But I happen to like this color the most. This nail polish is, in my best description, an orange pink red color. It has a little of each, but I think it is fair to call it Pink for the over all look of it. Now it is a sheer color, and it took about three coats to give it the vibrant pink you see here, but I have learned that if you use a good base coat or even just white nail polish under it, you tend to use less of the polish and get an even more vivid color.

I used Sally Hansen's French White Tip nail polish and over it a thin coat of this French Pink nail polish that I had laying around the house. But I know there is a kit by Sally Hansen that has everything you would need.

So which nail look is your favorite? Tweet me pictures or swatches of what you plan on using or have used before for the Spring.
