Running for beginners.

We all want to be able to run non stop for a couple of miles. But every time we try we might last a couple of minutes and then we give up. But thats because we need to help our body little by little to run non stop. Now, I happen to come across this 12 week program to help you run for a full 20 min non stop. If you wish to last longer you can add more time to it, or in this case repeat the steps instead of 4 times maybe 6 or 8 times.

Let me know if you guys decide to do this and how its going! I would do this routine maybe 3-4 times a week. Maybe more if you have to time, but try and get your body into this routine and don't give up!

Now I cant promise you will loose 20 or 40 lb's doing this, but what I can promise is that it will help you become a good runner!

Who is ready for Spring?

After the holidays everyone can't wait for Spring. All the cute dresses and bright purses and makeup! A great change from the Black and Grays of Winter. So what is a good idea to stock up on right before spring starts? How about Nail Polish?

My Makeup Monday for today is one of my favorite nail polishes for spring!

(Left) Sally Hansen's French White Tip (Right) OPI's Big Hair...Big Nails

I love the fun and bright look of these nails! And it isnt all that hard to do. The French Tip is my favorite because of how easy it is. You can either use nail tapes from the drugstores as a guide line for the nail polish and then just strip them away one it is dried. But I feel like buying those strips is just a waste of my money. I prefer to just paint the tips of my nails and clean it up with Q Tips and Nail Polish Remover. Its simple and effective and cheaper too.

My other favorite nail color to use in the Spring is Pink's. OPI has many beautiful colors for spring, blues, pinks, reds, purples, pastels. But I happen to like this color the most. This nail polish is, in my best description, an orange pink red color. It has a little of each, but I think it is fair to call it Pink for the over all look of it. Now it is a sheer color, and it took about three coats to give it the vibrant pink you see here, but I have learned that if you use a good base coat or even just white nail polish under it, you tend to use less of the polish and get an even more vivid color.

I used Sally Hansen's French White Tip nail polish and over it a thin coat of this French Pink nail polish that I had laying around the house. But I know there is a kit by Sally Hansen that has everything you would need.

So which nail look is your favorite? Tweet me pictures or swatches of what you plan on using or have used before for the Spring.

App Review!! Game

How many of us like to play games on our phones? I love to play games on my phone, I don't have that many games but I decided to do a review on one of my favorite games I do have, Fun Run! Fun Run is a game app you can download onto almost any smart phone, and I have so far only seen it for free. I happen to have the iPhone 4 so when I downloaded the game it looked like this:

This is a game for up to 4 players. And they can be strangers or friends. The object of the game is basic: You race to the finish line and try to slice, chop, or electrocute the other players and get to the finish line first.
You are also given safety items like a safety bubble, or an extra life, plus you get a paw print one that momentary gives you fast speed. But how do you get all these? You have to pass through an orange box with a "?" on it and you get any random one of the powers. So it is merely chance as to what you get, and when the game starts you are also given a power at random to use first.

If you happen to download this game or already have it add me as a friend so when ever I am on we can play together! my username is : Angieprincess19

My rating? A 4.5 out of 5 only because I love this game but at the same time I wish they didnt have the Candy Fields, those are real hard for me!! :(

Maybelline Rocket Mascara Review

So everyone is raving about the new Maybelline Rocket Mascara. And I have to agree with what everyone is saying. It is amazing and I love the way it works. The brush when you first open the packaging is separate from the mascara bottle and you can see how thick the brush is and how small the actual bristles are.

The packaging of the mascara bottle is so cute! It is a dark blue and in the shape of a rocket or bullet.

Now personally I find that it works best in lengthening my lashes and making them darker, I didn't however notice any more thickness than normal so I feel like you can add one layer of this mascara and then add a layer, right away, of any mascara that thickens your lashes.

(On the Left are my eyelashes curled with no makeup. On the Right are my eyelashes with the Mascara.)

Now I have natural long lashes, so all it did was make them more noticeable and black. Depending on your own lashes depends on how it would look on you. Just because it looks this way with me does not mean it will look the same way on you. This is just my own opinion and its effectiveness on my eyelashes.

So the question is, would i recommend this product to someone else? Yes, I love this mascara and am very happy with the results. My only issue is that I wish it would make my lashes thicker too, but its ok.

Comment bellow or Tweet me and questions or recommendations you might have.

Keep coming back for more beauty and health tips, I have lots to share!! XOXO

Fresh and Clean!

Now how many of us had our nails all done for the holidays? Weather we did Acrylic, Gel, or regular Mani's. Don't you think its time we gave our poor nails a break? Well maybe its time we do that!

Fresh and Clean Nails. That means no color, no Gels, no Acrylic, no Nail Salon. At home Nail Care is the best we can all do for our nails and our wallets. So why not invest a little so that we can take care of our nails? I was searching online and found some tools from Sally Hansen to use for an at home nail care kit. Of course you can use what you have at home, it doesn't have to be this brand, but its one I like and have used before, so I know they work well.
On the top left is the Sally Hansen Hard as Wraps Hard as Nails Nail polish, it is a clear nail polish that nourishes as well as hardens your nails to make them stronger. Next to that is the Sally Hansen Problem Cuticle Remover. Its a cream you massage onto your cuticles and leave for a couple of minutes to soften your cuticles so they will be easy to remove. Next to that is the cuticle pusher and cuticle cutter set also from Sally Hansen. There names I presume to be self explanatory. Now on the bottom left is just a regular Sally Hansen nail cutter, also self explanatory. And finally next to that is a simple nail file, also from Sally Hansen.

How much would you spend at a nail salon for Gel nails? 30.00-35.00
How much would you spend for Acrylic nails? About 22.00-25.00
How much would you spend for a Manicure? About 15.00-20.00
The total Retail value for these products is  $29.07 USD

So you do the math, how much money are you spending monthly to put on fake nails, just so that they will destroy your natural nails. Save that money and purchase this kit instead, in the long run, you will save more money and have beautiful natural nails.

I found these products at Target.com.

5 min Workout Routine you can do at home

Not everyone has 1-3 hours to spare for the gym. So we decide we shouldn't go, but is that the best idea? No, of course not. Well I have a solution for that problem. A 5 min workout routine; at least I did it in 5 min and 46 seconds. It isn't too hard but you will need a person, and either a chair or bed. Remember to take breaks where you need them and to stay hydrated during your routine.

1. You lay on your back with your legs in the air at a 45 angle. Then you spin your legs clock wise 15x. And repeat counter clockwise.

2. You lay on your back with your legs raised on a chair or bed. You lay your hands flat against the floor, and the. Do 20 half crunches.

3. You lay on your back with your knees bent and your hands raised slightly. The. You do 20 full crunches.

4. You lay on your back with your knees bent. You bring your knees to your chest and then bring it back down. 10x on each leg.

5. You lay on your back with your knees bent and your hands on your head. You do a full crunch with your left elbow touching your right knee. And then with your right elbow touching your left knee. Repeat for a full count of 10 crunches. Remember to alternate left from right one after the other.

6. Lay flat on your hands and foot and the. The. Stretch your back upwards and hold for 10 seconds.

7. You lay on your back with your arms stretched out and your knees to your chest. Then turn your head right and bring your legs to the left and lay them flat. Hold for 2 seconds and repeat 10x on each side.

8. Lay on your back and hold a persons ankles as they stand right over your head. Have them hold one leg up and wait for 3 seconds then let your leg fall gently. Repeat for the next leg and repeat again. Do 10 on each leg.

9. Finally, lay on your elbows and the tips on your toes. Make sure your back is straight. Hold this position for 10 seconds.

You can do this routine anywhere; while your kid naps, during your break at the office, while you watch your favorite TV show! Now I did this routine fast and took breaks where I needed them.

Remember, your not an athlete, this wont give you crazy abs, and I cant promise you will loose 5 lbs if you do this 3 times a day for a week. But I can show you a routine that takes minutes and maybe you can squeeze it in your daily routine a few times a day for 3 days a week and get the minimum exercise you need for a healthier lifestyle.

Let me know in the comments bellow how long it took you to do this on your first try!

Makeup Starter Kit!

Every girl needs makeup to a certain point. To cover a blemish, to add length to the eyelashes, to add some color to your lips. What ever there reason may be, every girl has some type of makeup. Now don't get me wrong, natural beauty is always there no matter who you are, but why not enhance what is already there? But no one knows where to start! What brand is good and what brand is a waste of our money? No one knows until they try it. So I have come up with a simple guide to the basic must haves for any girl!

First things first: Your face!
Now every kit must have a foundation where to build from, in this case literally!
Above are products that almost everyone is familiar with, now you dont have to get these identical ones, there are many brands ranging from inexpensive drugstore brands to high end brands. You can purchase any that fit your budget and skin type.
A face primer is used all over the face to prepare and smooth out your face.
Over that you should use a foundation fit for your skin type, some have oily, dry, sensitive, or acne prone skin. It pays off to do research for your ideal foundation, only you know your face better than anyone else.
In order to cover up any redness or blemish that the foundation didn't get, you need to add concealer to those spots, most popularly under your eyes to get rid of dark circles.
In order to set your foundation and concealer and prevent what is referred to "cakyness" you need a good face powder. And once again you need to find one that is best fit for your skin type; again, research.
And after you have applied all these you need to add some color to that solid tone of your face. A nice blush and bronzer combination will do the trick. Again you should find one that best fits your skin tone.

Once you have completed an even toned and smooth canvas, its time to add on to your eyes!
Now most people prefer to just curl there lashes and add a bit of mascara and call it a day. I will admit to being one of those people. But sometimes its nice to add some eye shadow and eyeliner and have your eyes looking amazing.
So to start everything off you will, again, need a primer. In this case an eye shadow primer.
Once you have put that all over your lids, you can apply eye shadow in any color or combination of colors you like. I showed above the Naked Basics pallet, which is a group of nude eye shadows that just so happen to be my favorite.
After you are happy with your lids, many girls like to add a bit of gel, liquid or pencil liner; which ever you prefer; to top it all off. Personally I prefer the gel liner, its smooth and creamy and comes with its own small brush for applying.
After all those steps are done you finish it off by curling your eyelashes and adding mascara! Now once again, there are many type of mascara's out there; for length, thickness, a combination of the two. So just find the one that fits your lashes best and go with it.

Now we cant forget the last and most important thing, your lips. Its the cherry on top of the Sunday! Pick your favorite shade and swipe it on, of course it never hurts to have a large range to pick from, so try out different colors and brands, trust me, you will be happy when it comes down to it.
And you can't forget your tools to help you finish off this look. Every girl needs brushes and an eye lash curler.
Now picking brushes is tricky and can be a bit of a hassle  but try out some inexpensive ones first and work your way up to the higher end ones. You wont regret having a few of the same type of brushes trust me.
And for your eye lash curler, once again, try a couple out, always start with the inexpensive ones and then work your way up if you need to.

So this is the list of what I personally think is a Makeup Starter Kit for any girl. When it comes to finding makeup that best suits you, you have to face one thing; its going to be a little difficult but worth it in the end. Any girl can tell you that in order to find the right shade and type of makeup for you is to do research and try them all out.
So have fun with it and let me know what is in your makeup starter kit! Comment bellow for any comments, ideas for future post or questions you may have!

GYM TIME!!!

Now I know everyone put as there New Years Resolution to work out more right? Well, then we realize we don't have anything to work out in so we put it off till we purchase something and then we never end up going. So my solution to that was to go out and buy what I needed. That way I wont have an excuse as to why I cant go.

So in this post I am going to show you guys what i wear to the gym and where i got them

In this outfit i am wearing a sports bra and leggings from Walmart. The sports bra was inexpensive, 10.00 for 2 bra's,but I cant remember the price for the leggings. I am also wearing a simple spaghetti strap shirt from Wet Seal, they always have deals on there basic tops, 5 for 20.00! My shoes are an old pair of Pumas that I cant remember the price for or where I got them. And for the sweater, any sports sweater will do, plus I am wearing my iPhone arm band, it was a gift for Christmas this year. Thanks! You know who you are.

So, you don't need fancy workout clothes to be able to work out! The only item I had to purchase recently was the sports bra! So go through you'r closet and find comfortable clothes that allow you to breath and move around freely!
Show me your workout gear for a chance to be featured in one of my blogs next week along with what you guys do at the gym? What is your favorite machine? A Treadmill, a Bycicle, or something else?  Email me at angiexoxo1993@yahoo.com

Forget fast food breakfast! Enjoy some of these alternatives instead.

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so why not eat right? Yes going to the drive through is quick and easy, not to mention addicting, but its not always the healthiest choice. On the other hand you can enjoy a delicious and filling breakfast at home in only a few minutes! Here are a couple of recipes I know you will all love like I have.
A non fat vanilla yogurt with bits of granola, chopped almonds and walnuts (unsalted), fresh cut fruit like strawberries  kiwis, bananas, apples, blue berries, and raspberries, with a slice of toasted whole wheat bagel and a glass of squeezed orange juice is a fresh and delicious breakfast! You shouldn't eat a tub full of course but a nice portion of this is wonderful.
For those of you who like your syrup, how about a couple of slices of whole wheat waffles nice and crunchy with a drizzle of light syrup with fresh cut fruits like strawberries, bananas, blueberries, and if you would like some more sweetness add a kiwi or a couple rings of pineapple on the side; and you cant forget the glass of non fat or low fat skim milk. You could even substitute the waffles for whole wheat pancakes without the butter if you like.

Lastly, i have a delicious veggie omelet for those who like a heavier breakfast. Its quick and only requires about 20 minutes to prepare.

Ingredients:
3 eggs
2-3 tbsp of milk
pinch of pepper
bell peppers
onions
tomato
cilantro

Directions:
1. beat the eggs, milk, and pepper together, add a thin layer of oil to a non stick skillet over medium heat. once warm pour the egg mixture in pan.
2. once egg is set, add the rest of the ingredients (chopped of course) minus the cilantro to half of the egg. Using a fork or spatula, gently lift the other half of the egg and slowly fold over the side with the ingredients.
3. once cooked all the way through place a plate over the pan upside down and flip omelet onto the plate.
4. top with chopped cilantro for garnish and fresh taste.

So next time you are grocery shopping remember to buy an obscene amount of fruits and yogurt and whole wheat products for a healthy start to your day.
Comment, or Tweet me any suggestions you might have or ideas for future blog post!

DIY SCARVES AND STYLING!!

In the winter time everyone likes to keep warm. My favorite winter accessory is a circle scarf. So I wanted to show you guys a couple of ideas I have on making your own scarves and how to style them.

I love to make my own scarves just because you know no one will have one like it! There are a couple of different ways you can make your own.

One is the t-shirt scarf, using an old t-shirt cut into strips and placed together into a large ring to make a circle scarf.

Another is my personal favorite, the old legging scarf. My sister had a pair of stretchy legging type pants that she bought but never wore. So I turned them into shorts for the summer and used the remaining leg part and stitched them into a circle scarf for the winter.

Lastly is another favorite of mine, an extremely large knitted scarf that was made too long for me. Once again I cut it to the right length and hand stitched it into a circle scarf.

Let me know what you guys think and any ideas you have for future blog posts.
