A Healthy Crunch!

How many times do we crave that salty and crunchy delicious snack? If you are anything like me, then most of the time! But deep fried, extra salty, processed chips is not the healthiest for us. So I decided to share with you guys some healthy alternatives to potato chips.


Carrot Chips:
1. Peel Carrots into thick slices. 
2. Toss Carrots in Olive Oil and Salt.
3. Bake at 350' for 12 minutes.
4. Cool and enjoy! 



Sweet Potato Fries:
1. Preheat oven to 400' 
2. Cut 3 large sweet potatoes into wedges
3. In a large bowl, toss the wedges in 1 tbsp of olive oil, 1 tsp of cumin, a dash of cayenne pepper, 1/4 tsp of paprika, 1/2 tsp of salt. 
4. Place coated wedges on a single layer on a baking dish and bake for 30 minutes or until they are done.

When is it time to let go??

We all collect makeup, but how do we know when is it time to let go of our makeup? Over time, our makeup collects bacteria or just simply doesn't look good anymore. When is it time to throw out our old makeup? I have the answer to this question and decided to share it with you all. So go through your makeup collection and get rid of the old. And it's a good excuse to go out and buy some new don't you think?

Mascara- 3 Months

Foundation- 1 Year

Lipstick and Lip glosses-  1 Year

Blush, Bronzer and Powders- 18 Months

Concealer- 1-2 Years 
(1 yr for liquid, 2 yrs for powder/stick)

Eye shadow- 2 Years

Lip and Eye pencils- 2 Years

So go through all your makeup, and dont hold on to those old ones, toss them out and buy new ones.

GREAT NEWS YOU GUYS!!!

So this is random and out there, but I thought I would share this mile stone with you guys. I got my Drivers License this morning!! And I know its a bit dumb to be so happy but I am 19 and have just got it!! So I am excited that I no longer feel left out and I also have a License among my friends!!

So for all those out there who are going to try or have already tried but failed, dont worry, it isnt all that hard, just try your hardest and dont be nervous. I was and I will admit I messed up a few times and the lady told me so. But in my defense it just snowed out here where I live and there is a lot of snow and ice so the roads were slippery. All she told me was to be careful in this type of whether and to go slow.

So I wish you guys luck in your test or a congratulation if you have already passed.

And drive safe! No texting and driving! No drinking and driving! And always wear your seat belts, it saved my sister and mother's life once.

Loose those Love Handles!

How many of us girls out there have Love Handles!?? And how many of us want them gone??? Oh I am sure thats all of us. Well lucky for us, I have found a routine to help us get rid of those unwanted body parts.

The 10 Commandments of Blush!!

People think it is so easy and simple to apply blush to our faces. Wrong. You dont just grave any shade of blush and use any brush and lap it randomly on your face. There are rules to these kinds of things. And I have the 10 Commandments to Blush.


1. Start out with a Flawless Foundation.
Use foundation first to even out your skin tone. Blush will stay put longer and look more natural.

2. Layer with a Bronzer.
Use a large, fluffy brush to apply bronzer in the shape of a 3 on each side of your face. ( forehead, cheeks, jawline) Then top with Blush for a natural-looking glow.

3. Pick the right Formula for your skin.
Have oily skin? Powder Blush will last longer. Have dry or aged skin? A Cream blush gives it a glowing finish. Those with Normal Skin can use either one.

4. Choose your Tools.
Dust on Powder Blush with a large brush with Tapered ends. It will deposit the color exactly where you want it. Dab Cream Blush on with your fingers or a wedged sponge.

5. Smile!!
Start by applying Blush to the Apples of your cheeks- the area that is most full and high when you smile. Blend up and back towards your Hairline.

6. Consider Contouring.
Playing with light and shadows on your face can shape its appearance. To soften a square face, dust blush or bronzer along your Jawline. To shorten a long face, apply some color to your temples. To make a round face thinner, sweep blush to the tops of the cheeks only.

7. Find the Right Color.
Pink or Coral warms up a pale face. Rose or apricot makes medium skin glow. And dusty brick reds or plums enhance darker skin tones.

8. Top with Powder.
A light dusting of sheer powder all over your face will help your blush last all day-and all night- long.

9. Finish with a kiss of Highlighter.
For Special nights out,  accent your blush with a touch of highlighter along the very tops of your cheekbones. It picks up the light and looks super pretty in photos.

10. Complement with Lipstick.
Your Blush and lipstick dont have to match exactly, but they should be in the same color family for an overall flattering look.

15 Min Workout!

Who loves to workout? No one I'm sure! I know I dont enjoy it all the time. Especially when I dont know what to do next. So what I think is best is to have a set routine your entire workout. Whether you have an hour or three, its best to have a routine so you dont end up bored and just give up for the day.

So I came across this workout routine that will be simple to do! All you have to do is follow directions! How simpler can it get? And you can do them all at home within 15 min if you dont stop, but just to be safe I would give myself 30 min since it will be the first time you try it.


Remember, I am not saying that by doing this routine you will loose 20 lbs in a month. All I am doing is showing you guys an idea of a routine and hoping that it will motivate you all to stick to your new years resolutions!!
